Music
There are many opportunities for people to participate in the music ministry at Ascension Lutheran church. Find where you fit in and join us. New people are always welcome.-
• Chancel Choir:
The chancel choir practices every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. New singers are always welcome.
The choir typically sings at the 8:30 worship service two Sundays a month, and at the 11:00 service the other two Sundays. On special occasions (Palm Sunday, Easter, Pentecost, etc.) the full choir sings at both services.
The choir is under the direction of Patti Skinner; Matthew Noonan, accompaniest.
• Handbell Choir:
The handbell choir under the direction of Matthew Noonan practices each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
• Instrumental Music:
Instrumentalists are welcome to become a part of the Ascension Music Ministry. There are many opportunities to play during the prelude, postlude, or offertory on Sunday morning. • Trinity Group
The Trinity Group will lead worship on the last Sunday of each month giving our worship style a contemporary flair.
