Pastor Miller

Rev. Eric O. Miller graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin, in 1996. Prior to receiving his Master of Divinity degree, he attended Northwestern College, Watertown, Wisconsin, from which he received a B.A degree.

Rev. Miller served his vicarage at Grace Lutheran Church, Portland, Oregon, and upon graduation from the Seminary was called to Hope Lutheran Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he served until June 1999. With the Lord's continual help, Pastor Miller led the congregation at Hope through a three-year "restart" process. The Lord blessed the efforts with growth from 15 to 95 members.

In 1999, Pastor Miller prayerfully decided to take a break from the full time public ministry. Rev. Miller and his wife Jean moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and he began to work at Mercer Human Resource Consulting. During this time the Lord led Rev. Miller to the church family here at Ascension Lutheran Church. September 2002, Rev. Miller began to serve Ascension on a part-time basis as an Assistant to the Pastor. Then in January 2004, he began to serve full time. The Colloquy Committee certified Rev. Miller for ministry in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in February 2004 and the Lord extended a Divine call through the people of Ascension to serve, once again, in the full-time public ministry.

Born in Fridley (a suburb of Minneapolis), Minnesota, on February 6, 1970, Pastor Miller grew up in South Dakota. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adrien O. Miller reside in Wilmar, MN.

In 1993, Pastor Miller was married to Jean Magdalena Eriksson of Waxhaw, North Carolina, a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. During October 2003, the Millers were blessed with twin girls: Emelia and Sofia.
