Mission and Vision Statment

  Ascension Lutheran Church is located in the heart of Charlotte. Click here for map. Current membership is around 530 members.  Ascension Lutheran Church is affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

• Mission Statement:    We serve God by inviting others to Christ, asking them to share our ministry of proclaiming the Gospel and providing care and Christian Education.

• Vision Statement:   A safe haven where all generations and cultures are wanted, welcomed, and accepted in Christ.   A supportive and caring church where the love of Christ fills our worship and the grace of God leads us to discover what is important in life and to use our gifts as servants.

Worship

• Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.

• Worship style ranges from traditional to a more contemporary style on the last Sunday of each month. Communion is normally served every Sunday except for the second Sunday of the month.

Childrens Church

• Children's Church is offered during the 8:30 and 11:00 services to children from preschool through 2nd grade. The children are invited to leave the sanctuary for Children's Church after the Confession and return to the sanctuary during the Offering. This allows families to participate in Communion and the Dismissal together.
• During Children's Church kids focus on God in their own way — and experience worship through fun games and memorable Bible learning. Following the Kids'Own Worship materials from Group Publishing, children sing and celebrate God’s goodness and mighty works, and revel in God’s unconditional love. Bible stories from both the old and new testaments are reinforced with hands-on activities, interactive games, and fun crafts. We hope your child will join us for worship soon!

Sunday School

• 9:45 a.m.  Ages 3 thru adult

Nursery

• Nursery services are provided for all Sunday morning activities for children up to age 3.

Chapel For The Deaf / Lutheran

• The Chapel for the Deaf/Lutheran is an LCMS congregation that ministers to the hearing impaired community in Charlotte, and their families.  Worship services are held at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning.  The Rev.
