"To Do" Projects around the Church

Recently an audit was conducted to determine the condition of the physical plant at Ascension. This audit is by no means complete and we welcome your input for other things that need to be done. This is a living audit and will simply focus our efforts to repair, fix, clean-up and replace items that are not up to our standards.

If there is an item you wish to add or delete by fixing the problem, simply contact the church office. We look forward to trimming this list with your help.

1. Patch hole in wall (front room, Deaf Chapel side)
2. Playground OK (Finished)
3. Re-attach metal strips on floor

1. Clean out gutters
2. Clean up around outside of house
3. Fix broken tile on kitchen floor
4. Paint flaking off of walls, fix and repaint
5. Paint trim around windows
6. Re-attach speaker wire to wall
7. Remove cobwebs from inside walls
8. Repaint floor inside entry way
9. Repair awning over back door
10. Repair celings (fron room and dining room)
11. Repair deck hand rail and remove leaves
12. Repair front window (Finished)
13. Repair stucco on back outside wall
14. Trim or remove bushes between Cornerstone and school house (overgrown with vines)

1. Repaint handrail in stairway
2. Repair upper room stained ceiling tile (school side)

1. Duct tape on down spout by stairs down to kitchen hallway (Finished)
2. Main door to Deaf Chapel on Kenilworth needs painting
3. On exit driveway side, paint wrought iron railing and refinish side door trim (awning?)
4. Pressure wash the spiral stairs (Finished)
5. Side door beside chiller needs refinishing
6. Walls need stripping or repainted at repainting at stairs leading down to rear of Luther Hall
7. Wooden exit sign at end of driveway damaged
8. Wrought iron railing at same needs painting

1. All handrails, doors, windows need cleaning and painting
2. Downspout over rear kitchen entry is taped and needs to be replaced
3. Handrail is split from winter ice
4. Side door of chiller needs to be finished
5. Stair cases on rear and side are disgraceful. Trash needs to be removed and they need cleaning.
6. Window on back door is broken

2. Windows need painting, both sides

1. Repaint yellow strips at tops of steps from walkways to sidewalk parking lot side of nursery (Finished)
2. Sides to walkway leading from parking lot to nursery broken on both sides
3. Sign at door, need additional info since door is locked at all times
4. Windows and panels underneath need caulking and painting

1. Clean up leaves around building
2. Finish patio, get rid of pavers in front of PVC fence
3. Paint something in front of school
4. Pine needles or mulch by courtyard

2. New letters for sign
3. Window box on one nearest Kenilworth has top cap broken

2. Main windows and panels underneath, caulk and paint
3. Side door to elevator needs refinishing

3. Clean and paint circular stairs
4. Clean and paint windows in narthex, pressure wash
5. Clean door to sacristy, also windows

1. Charlotte Lutheran School sign post needs painting
2. Copper(?) that is underneath roof slate sticks out into gutter, is bent up over door and some all along gutter
3. Cover PVC pipes on left side of entrance to school
4. Drain from A/C staining chimney
5. Paint awning over door
6. Remove milk crate and overturned paint bucket. (Finished)
7. Shrubs too high in front of church office (Finished)
8. Steps at parking lot end, hand rails need painting and hole underneath landing meeds some door or covering
9. Vents on parking lot end of building need painting

1. Need doors into "old" kitchen
2. Rot at bottom of door casing into kitchen

1. Touch-up paint, especially in stairwells and landings (Finished)
2. Upstairs in boys bathroom, celing needs repair
3. Upstairs in boys bathroom, wall paper border
